Ed Mitchell
MONTICELLO---Services for Ed Mitchell, 52, were held Friday from Carmel Baptist Church with burial in Monticello City, cemetery with Lawrence County funeral Home in charge. A native of Lawrence county, he died of a heart attack Tuesday at Morgan City, La. He was a former Jackson resident, a member of the Carpenter’s Union, and a Baptist.
Survivors: widow; daughters, Miss Carolyn Mitchell and Miss Marilyn Mitchell, both of Patterson, La; sons, Charles O. Mitchell of Morgan City, La., Freddie Mitchell with the navy in Virginia, Bob and Kenneth Mitchell both of Patterson, La.; brothers Houston Mitchell of Ruth, Joe Mitchell of Jackson, and Roy Mitchell of Jayess; sister, Mrs. D.W. Glover of Monticello, and a grandson.
