Ashland, Benton County, Mississippi, 1891

Ashland, the seat of justice of Benton County, was named in honor of the home of Henry Clay.

It has a population of two hundred and twenty-seven, and does a good local trade.

Other towns in this county are Lamar, Michigan City and Hickory Flat.
